inner thigh lift????
Ok I am having an inner thigh lift as part of my plastic surgery being done on the 13th, my ps has told me that I have to be very careful not to cause it to open the wound, that for some reason this procedure that seems to happen a lot. I was wondering if anyone has had this one done and is there any secrets to not causing it to open, I do not want to have to see a wound specialist!!!!
Thanks for any advice...

I had this done but didn't have any problems with opening the wound up. Here are some precautions I took
~Bought a little round floaty thing that kids use and put that on the toilet seat when I had to use the bathroom
~rented a lift chair so I wouldn't plop down in the chair and put strain on the incisions - it cost me about $300 for about 2 weeks but was worth every penny
~sat on pillows
~didn't go up and down the stairs for the first week
~used a blow dryer to dry in the incisions about twice a day
There is a forum called tuck that tummy where I got those suggestions from.
Here is a suggestion that I got AFTER surgery and wished I would have had it during surgery. I had to wear a compression garment and it was sooo hard to get on. I couldn't help pull it on for the first week or so and my husband had to do it - hard hard hard to do that to someone else. Well, after my surgery I read where someone said if you sprinkle baby powder on the inside of the garment it goes up a lot easier. That would have made life so much better if I would have known it at the time.

I was supposed to have it done, but the morning of the surgery, my iron was too low so the Dr. did not do it.
I did not research it too much as it was added at the last minute and then changed.
I remember Dr, saying had to be careul because it is in a place hard to keep clean.
That is all the info I have on it.

I did it
I had it done and my wounds did come open. The suggestions posted here sound pretty darn good. I believe I was too active... walking around way too much! Stay off your feet, thats what I recommend. Good luck to you darlin'!

Bridget,
Where have you been? I was wondering about you the other day....I was thinking you haven't posted in awhile.
I want an inner thigh lift and of course calf skin removal..it is gross, but my surgeon says I have to wait at least a year...too many surgeries. Besides.....It costs money and I will have to save for a long long time.
I can wear pants to hide it.. but when I wear shorts, I feel gross...so I try to just wear them at home.
