Talking Running

For those of you who are further out in your journey and are looking to up the intensity of your exercise, I found this program that has worked great for me. I posted it for some people on the old forum awhile ago and wanted to post it here for anyone interested. I am hoping to run a 5k this summer to celebrate my 1 year anniversary. Again this is for those that have lost most of their weight and are physically able to start running.

Unfortunately it didn't paste well in this format, but here is the link.

Thumbs up 5k's

Thanks Mary for that post. I planned to do the 5k LaJolla run in April, but lost motivation to train because I got too frustrated. I'm going to start this new plan with Monday's workout.

Thanks!!

I AM SOOOOO AMAZED THAT I CAN RUN. I NEVER IMAGINED I COULD EVER DO THAT AGAIN. I WAS ACTIVE AS A KID BUT AS I GOT OLDER I NEVER RAN AND THEN BEFORE SURGERY IT WAS SO HARD TO EVEN WALK DUE TO ALL THE PAIN AND DIFFICULTY BREATHING. TODAY I RAN ABOUT 2 MILES WITHOUT STOPPING. NOT EVEN TERRIBLY WINDED. YEAHHHHHHH. MY NEW BODY IS JUST AMAZING ME ALL THE TIME. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NOT GONE DOWN ANYMORE WEIGHT......DOWN 95 LB SINCE SURGERY....MY OVER ALL HEALTH IS AMAZING. THE SITE WAS GREAT AND THANX FOR IT. IT IS BASICALLY THE WAY I HAVE BEEN TRAINING SO FAR AND WILL KEEP DOING IT.
