Just a thought :)
I was given a 'revelation' of sorts concerning this surgery and thought I would share it with you....
Have you ever wanted something so bad for many years but never got it? Then, when you finally did receive it, it was the best gift you have ever gotten in your life? Can you remember how you felt about that gift? You might have taken it with you wherever you went. If you couldn't take it with you, you thought about it all day long, until you could be with it again. It consumed your every thought. You never missed a day where you weren't thankful for having that gift after so many years of waiting for it. And the best part about it, is that no one could take it from you - it was yours and yours alone.
That is how WLS surgery is - it is a gift. It is the treasure that you have waited for so many years now. It is with you wherever you go in life. You will NEVER lose it. It is inside you and working for you, as long as you treasure it and don't abuse it. It is a gift that you have been given that you have waited for, as long as you have been overweight. It will bring you the dream of being thin, as long as you treasure it and treat it properly.
When you get to where you hit a plateau, or you start grazing again and go back to your old eating habits, remember your very special 'gift' that has been given to you. Treasure it like a very special gem. And don't forget what it is there for...it will bring you health and happiness in being the thin person you were meant to be! You deserve to be the best person God made you to be. Hold your 'gift' dear to your heart and learn to love yourself and see yourself the way God sees you. He loved you enough to send His son to die for you. That means you must be pretty special! Don't forget - you are a treasure to God - and He has given this 'treasure' to you! You are loved!
I got this somewhere in here and I just love it and felt the need to share with you. I don't remember who I got it from but thanks!
