Lots of Tummy Tuck questions lately...

Remember there is a difference between a true abdominalplasty (tummy tuck) and a panusectomy (skin removal of pannus)

I had the abdominal plasty with a partial lower body lift along with the hernias repaired.

Had the TT with hernia repair and after 3 months can say it was worth it!!!

I paid 10k for what the insurance did not cover.

I am still deciding on the breast ift, quoted 7500k for that.

Almost got the thigh lift 5500k but did not get it after all.

I reccomend looking at picturs of your dr.s work. Make sure he really busy and go with your own insticts along with what others who have used him say.

Good luck,
Rain

I have researched the Dr out the wazoo and talked to so many patients I am dizzy with information. I have also looked at so many naked before and after pictures all I can see is boobie!!!! My kids kept getting up last night and saw too many sets of boobies too!!

Good luck to you. FYI and I know you have probably heard this before but I just saw a show last night about PS in mexico going really really wrong. I am sure your Doc is great just please be careful. It is cheaper for a reason. I would rather pay more for peace of mind. Just my 2 cents. Good luck

The cost for the hotel is only 57.00/night including the shuttle. And the nice thing is I get to recooperate in San Diego for 5 days!!

I can't wait!!
I can't wait to hear how it goes. I wish you the best....and a great trip! Does this place have a website?

I found all the info on psjourneys.com. It's a great website with lots of people stories and pics.

The Dr I have looked into and am going with is Dr Fuentes his website is:
http://www.cosmedtj.com/

I have watched a couple of shows like that and it did scare me a bit, but then I had my RNY done in Mexico and had a great experience with a wonderful Dr.

I think it's all about research. Just because a Dr is practising in the US doesn't mean he's not a hack!! Most mexican Dr's are trained at least partially in the US. I also prefer the Mexico hosptial and staff to that in Canada and US. Much cleaner and way nicer staff!!!

Thanks you.....I put it in my fav places. I also saw shows about how good the hospitals are and that they are basically for the wealthy and Americans. I am like you, I want to research well, but I also researched here for the RNY too! Hacks can be anywhere, and so can good ones. I'll be anxious to hear how your experience goes. Best wishes on it. When did you say you go?

Thanks so much for the info......I just now realized that you are not a year out! I was thinking I had to wait a year to even get a consult, then wait to stabilize. How do they consult from that far away....or do you do that when you get there? How long do you stay there? I'm sorry so many questions.

For the LBL he want's me to be at least a year out and stabalized. I will be having it done at about 17 months out.

For the BA/BL, my breasts are as defalted as they can get. I sent him a whole wack of neckid pictures and I also talked to a plastic surgeon here in BC about geting them done. It's pretty scary taking naked pics of yourself and then sending them to a stranger via email!!!

They are willing to do the boobs now because of that.
