Unhappy Crying

Ok, has anyone else just had crying fits? I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm 10 days post-op, feeling great! walking alot, moving, going out, just really downright amazing. Now, all I want to do is cry. I have spent all morning crying, nothing hurts, I'm just crying. What's wrong with me?? I'm not sad, I'm thrilled I'm doing good.

Yeppers- perfectly normal, sweetie!!! It hit me at about the same time, and I would cry for absolutely no reason...couldn't seem to turn off the faucet at all!! It subsided at about week 4 or so, and would flare up every now and again for an additional 2 weeks or so if I was overly tired. It is a "season" that will pass. Hang in there, hun (((HUGS)))

Totally normal sweetie! We get emotional as the estrogen is released from the fat we are losing. Plus your body has been through SOO much the last couple of weeks. It will get better.

My 2 Aussie Shepherds were the same way...I was sitting in my recliner, and one of 'em tried to become a lap dog to comfort me. Poor things were so confused

Mine was irritability rather than crying. But there is a hormonal/physical explanation in addition to the big change you underwent. Fat cells carry estrogen, when you lose weight rapidly it releases it in large doses. Kind of like PMS'ing on turbo charge. Just keep telling your intellect that it will get better and that it's normal.

Yes I remember crying. My mom tapped my stomach on accident and I just burst into tears as though she had socked me. I wasn't crying because of pain it was all the emotional stuff. I guess the release of those nasty hormones I was hording in my fat. It goes in spurts, I am in a major funk right now. I am gonna get my antidepressant increased. But I think it is normal with the journey.

The irritability is from the ketones that are generated in the beginning. Lack of carbs and using protein as the main fuel source, ketones are made and they can make you a little miffed shall we say.

I was emotional in the beginning, and then I was great and now at 6 months, I am emotional again. Things change on a month to month basis with me hormonally. You just have to ride the wave.
