Why cant you eat it? I eat things that contain sugar often. The question is, how often and how much are you eating. What is your vice... which treat beckons you the most? What time of the day do find yourself snacking?

Lisa, don't beat yourself up for it. I also have to have it! Every day, and I just dont bring it home, but I do this, instead of buying a whole cake, I buy a slice, and then it is gone. I did buy a small cake last Friday and I have eaten 3 small pieces, and they were not every day, in fact one of the days I ate two thin slices but the cake is still there, 3/4 of that cake is right in front of my face, but since this is probably the last day of my cycle, (I hit 121) I know I will climb back up to 131 during the next month, and I am okay with that now, because it is a pattern that has established itself since I was 7 months post op. I haven't hit 121 since Feb though, 122 been low. I also like candy, but I don't buy and bring home. If I can't say no I get one lil fun size and by the time that is gone, I am far from the store, and cannot reach for another one. I cannot say NO all the time, but I do say No 80% of the time. Why couldn't I say No before surgery? Because by the time I realized I was so fat it was too late, no reason to say no. I say No now, because I know where not saying No will lead me. Straight to Heaven on a one way ticket. I don't mind Heaven, that is where I am going, and that is where I want to go, when He calls me home, not because I have eaten myself into respiratory arrest or a diabetic coma. I bring up images of me trying to have an orgasm without inducing cardiac arrest. At work when there is soooo much sweets, I remember that my belly used to be a big problem in my work, knocking over things off the bedside tables, having to move everything in my path to get to the oxygen. Then having to move it all back and then again when I have to hang an IV. I try to just remember it vividly when I start to take that "extra", but only the extra, because as far as I am concerned, everyone needs sweets now and then, just like we need carbs, fats, proteins, we need a balance though. My motto is this, balance at 80% good 20% anything I want! It works for me!

This is probably too much information, but it is reality so I will say it anyway. I need those cake calories (in my mind) when I am losing so much blood, I am weak (physically) always have, I go an entire 7 days at the minimum, and when cancer of the cervix is present for me, (not for 12 years) I can flow for 45 days or more, stop a week or two and go again for another 45 days.

Default Bowel problems

I am 19 mos. out of surgery and seem to be doing great except for one small problem. I seem to have the runs every now and again. This I would not worry about but they come on instantly and I have had several accidents and not been able to get to the bathroom. Any one else having this problem? Ideas on what might be causing it? Dr. don't seem to know.

Default See another doctor.

I am not a doctor, but if one doesn't know what is causing this, then see another one. My grandmother had a problem like the one you are describing, and she had something wrong with her bowel. I highly doubt it's related to gastric bypass, hence the reason to see another doc. Suzy
