I am very happy for everyone here but I am not getting the support I need. I had the Lap-Band done March 26, 2009 and my weight loss is so much diffrent then anyone elses that i have read. there are a few who had the band but not many. I am so proud of all of you but I will be making Lap-Band Talk my new home. If you are getting the Lap-Band and not the GBP this is the place for you too. Good Luck to all of you and God Bless.

Sorry you didn't find you were getting the support you needed here. I noticed you've only made 8 posts here and at least two of them are annoucing that you're leaving. I think you need to post more here to find the support.. we can't help you if you don't reach out to us, first.

Anyway, good luck. I do hear that Lapband talk is a good site for lapbanders, though I don't care for their militant stance of other forms of WLS. Lap Band is not the best option for everyone and I think it is good to get a variety of knowledge before choosing which is the best for ourselves, which lapband talk seems to discourage. Oh well.

Best of luck to you.

huh...I have lapband too and I dont recall any questions from you?? Sorry you didnt get what you were looking for. But in my opinion I follow the diet of RNY very strictly and in my head I think I will get sick too if I eat bad things- even though I know it is not true.

These 2 surgeries are very similiar in what you go through- the only difference in my opinion is what you can tolerate eating and for some myself included I cant stomach sweet things any longer and I have a hard time with hardboiled eggs- it is a less invasive surgery but in the end we are all pulling for the same thing- good luck!!

I know for me to lose the amount of weight that I have (over 80 pounds in 5 months) I work it- and i work it hard!! Im at the gym 5 and 6 days a week- weight doesnt just fall off you have to work it off too
