I had my surgery on 4/1/08 and just had my first fill almost a week ago. I have a lg band and got 4cc...don't notice a big difference on eating, but noticed a sort of "knot" in my gut near where the port is. It was a blind fill-could this just be irritation from the needle? Fill didn't hurt during the procedure, but I am sore now. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks for the welcome, and congratulations on your weight loss! Yes, I am puzzled about this knot, but seems to be directly related to the fill. Seems to be working though!

Glad the band is working for you! Have you contacted your doctors office about the pain and/or lump?

I went to the dr. last week. They think the "knot" is either fluid or scar tissue...nothing too scary. It is still there, but seems to be lessening. Also, the soreness from the fill site is less. Hopefully, my next fill will be less traumatic!

I have had my band since August 2007 and like you have that knot feeling I think it is just the way we are. My Dr told me it will get more uncomfortable as we loose weight and mine sticks out so much. I cant even lay on my tummy now.

You will do well with the band I am so happy I have had it done,
