Default How many CCS did you get on your 1st fill?

Hi Everyone
I'm wondering if my dr. is aggressive or normal or what.. I had 1.5 cc total for my first fill. To be quite honest, it has been about 18 days now and really don't feel much at all. What was your first fill cc amt if you know?

Clarissa - I haven't had any wls yet. But, when I had a consultation with the surgeon he said that he usually fills 1/2 cc at a time.

I think I had 1.5cc the first one too. I didnt get much restriction either. #2 fill I got .25, and the 3rd I got .25 as well. I have a total of 2cc in there and I think for right now that seems to be just fine. Some people need more of a fill and some less.

Good Luck!

Default Newbie just had gastric band fitted last week

Good Morning to you all.....

My name is Dianne and I have just had the gastric band fitted last week. I couldnt belive how painful it has been over this week but today it feel better.

I have to go back on wednesday to have the dressing taken off and then get weighed. I am really SCARED of the fills as I have needle phobia.... My first setting of the band will be in 8 weeks time.

Do they hurt please tell me the truth then I can prepare myself instead of trying to imagine how bad it is going to be.

I have had a weight problem now for 25 years going from 18st to 9st and in the end I couldnt take my poor health any more. My gp told me I would haveto go private and I did and wow I couldnt beoliev how much these things cost. It will take me 3 years to pay it back but in the end is there ever a price for good health and happiness?????

I hope you didnt mind me joining your group are there many people on here from the UK.

have a great weekend Dianne

Default Hi Dianne

Dianne

I had my lap band fitted on 27/08/07 and am in my first week of the new diet regime, about to go onto pureed/mushies tomorrow.

I had my band done in Prague By Professor Martin Fried and he assured me that I should not need a fill until around the 10 month mark. I dont understand why there is so much difference between surgeons.

Cant tell you if it hurts because I havent had a fill yet but The Fat Doctor on TV last night featured a lap bander who went for her first fill and its just a simple needle and lasted about 3 seconds !! She drank some water and then went home !!

Nice to see another Brit. Keep me posted
