Default How often are Lap Bands filled?

The fill process starts after your recovery from the Lap Band surgery. Your surgeon will fill the Lap Band through an infusion port placed under the abdominal skin with in their office or through the radiology department.

  • 3-4 initial adjustments
  • Periodic "fill"
  • Annual esophagram
Future versions of the Lap Band may utilize specialized gels and use radio-based computer adjustments, which could eliminate the use of the infusion port.
