Default Been experimenting with protein...tastes like "Starbucks"

So.. I've been experimenting with my protein because I'm tired of trying to choke that mess down everyday. Today I used 1/2 cup of ice, 12 oz of Light Vanilla Silk soymilk (I'm lactose intolerant), 2 packets of Splenda flavors for coffee Mocha (thank you SO much melting mama! for the recommendation) and 1 Tbsp of General Foods Cafe Vienna ad 2 scoops of 100% Gold Standard Whey Protein. Mixed it in my blender. Hmmm...Not too bad...tastes a little like a Frappicino! I just put it in the freezer a little longer for more ice crystals.

I added everything up, and it's a little high on the calories, I guess because my protein has 120 calories per scoop. But I'm only on stage III foods and not getting much protein. And I'm supposed to drink half in the morning and half in the evening. It's a little easier to get down for me. Yay!

Calories: 382.5
Fat: 6.5 g
Sat Fat: 2.5 g
Carbs: 23.5 g
Protein: 57 g

Edited to say that that's Sugar free Cafe Vienna

For anyone who can use regular skim milk hood had a new one called calorie countdown and it has 45 calories per cup and 8 gr. of protein...I only use milk for my protein drinks so it's a bit on the thin side but it doesn't make a difference and if you want to add other stuff that is a bit higher in cals you can do it without going overboard on the cals

Thanks for the recipe - looks yum!

I LOVE coffee flavoured stuff.

If anyone has a serious liking for coffee, I can recommend Click (thank you Melting Mamma! Click Espresso Protein Drink Review )?

Great cold or warm and you can get it in individual servings (great for on-the-go): Make every moment CLICK with the first and only espresso protein drink!

You can get it cheaper - vitacost: Click Espresso Protein Drink Mocha -- 16 oz - Vitacost

Great straight up, even better made with milk. My favourite is to mix it half and half with a chocolate or Syntrax Nectar cappuccino.

Click contains calcium caseinate. That's the protein in it. And it's my understanding that we don't absorb that very well. It doesn't even have that much protein in it, either. If you want a coffee flavored protein drink, I think you might be better off using a whey isolate protein powder and adding coffee to it for flavor. I make a shake with eight ounces skim milk, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, and a packet of General Foods International sugar free vanilla latte mix that is very good.

I used coffee, ice, light slimfast vanilla, little bit of sugar free cappucino powder, little bit of skim milk or sometimes a scoop of light coffee ice cream and blend well-yummy!
