Default Congrats

Congrats on your surgery date. Mine is tomorrow...yikes! I haven't pack a whole lot. PJ's, Robe, Slippers, Book, Toiletries, Meds and that's about it. I believe I read that I need to bring a pillow so gotta get one out to take. If I'm up to it on the weekend, I'll get back on here and let you know anything I needed that they didn't tell me or I forgot to take.
Good Luck!

Hi Pamela, welcome to TT. Congrats on your surgery date. Nervous and excited is pretty normal. How much you want to prepare in advance is down to you and how much thought you have given to being post-op. Seeming your surgery is soon, I'd have some sample protein powders so you can try them out and see which ones you like best, maybe a decide on the blender. I've been waiting so long so I've gone ahead and bought so many things in advance, it's helped me to stay focused on the change of lifestyle I intend to have (namely my new relationship with food).

Good luck.

I cleaned my house from top to bottom, stocked up on crystal light, SF Jello, SF popsicles, and had enough protein powder (more than I would advise having because our tastes change so much), did all of the laundry, and had cooked numerous meals ahead of time and froze them for my Husband. He's able to cook for himself, this is just something I wanted to do. I took my I-Pod, cell phone, (chargers for both), shower gel, toothpaste and brush, hairbrush, and that's about it. I wore the hospital gown the whole time, I found them very comfortable. Good luck..............come here often for info and support!

I didn't do much to be honest.. packed PJs, bath stuff, iPod, laptop, phone and a change of clothes and that's it. Apart from the bath stuff and the change of clothes I really didn't need anything because the hospital gowns were comfortable and I was only in the hospital for 3 days... so most of those I spent sleeping or watching TV.

Good luck with the surgery! Don't be nervous... just relax and let it all happen, you'll see it's worth it
