Ok.. it really hasn't been a long time.. I think I started reading this site in March of this year.

Anyways, I'm 26 and am originally from Central/Boston, Ma. I recently moved to Memphis, TN and now that I have significantly more time on my hands I thought I would finally post something on this board!

Highest weight was 457
I got approved February 09 for Gastric Bypass (RNY)
I had surgery April 7th, 2009
My weight at surgery was 425
I broke into the 300's in May 2009
Broke 350lbs at the end of July 2009
Became a member of Two-terville on Oct 30th, 2009!
Currently sitting at 298.
My ideal goal is 225lbs.
My super ideal goal is (185lb) Highly doubt I will get there.

I'm 6'1 and athletic so 225 seems like a very realistic goal to me. I'm hoping to hit 275 by Xmas and 225 by Summer.

Sooo.. thanks for having so much valuable information on these forums. Hopefully I'll try to help around here and also learn more stuff....

one thing i gotta get off my chest though... I thought I would be ecstatic about getting under 300 for the first time in over 10 years.. but here I am wondering when i'll get to 275 and 250 and 225! LOL. dangit!

As another 'former' Masshole- Welcome to getting yourself out in the open here on TT I don't know how you lurkers do it, I'm much too chatty for that! LOL..

I know what you mean about thinking you'd be excited to hit a certain number.. I thought I'd be sooo happy and just really ok with hitting onderland but I'm pissed and frustrated with not being able to lose anymore it seems.

Anyway- welcome! And glad to have another guy here.. there is a derth of men on this forum, it seems!

I forgot to add its been about 6.75 months since surgery and I'm down 160lbs since I started trying to lose weight (February) and 130lbs since the surgery... not bad.

writing it out sort of makes me feel better! thats alot of weight in such a short period of time.

Heh.. I was a masshole for 30 years.. I don't think I'll lose it either.. heh.. Duckie (another Masshole here, lol) gave me six months before I'd be pulled over for speeding up here in VT- I didn't even make it 2 months heh..

As for the odds, yeah, they're definitely in your favor

I recall in HS some boys teasing two other boys for signing up for home ec.. till one of them say "yeah, you can have your shop class.. I've got 17 girls in MY class, what about YOU?" lol.. smart boys
