Default Hello All

Hey guys,

I really apologize if this is not an appropriate thing for me to do. But I wanted to at least introduce myself.

I am not overweight, I am actually one of those people that is always skinny and has to constantly eat to keep myself from getting even skinnier.

Trust me when I say that it is not as fun as it sounds. heh

The reason I *am* posting on these forums is because my fiance' just recently got this surgery done. I am so proud of her for making this decision (I did not ever suggest she needed to, she did this on her own) and I want to support her in every way that I can.

Also, I was hoping maybe I could come here for support if I need it?

If I am out of line, please let me know. If not, I look forward to helping anyone I can and to the advice I may receive.

Thank you,

Doug

i think it's awesome you got on here to support your girl! in fact, i was just telling my husband that this forum has a section for friends/family and that he may want to get himself on here so he will have a better idea of what it is i am going to be going through, and what life will be like post-op.

both of you should be on here! this site is an absolute WEALTH of knowledge and support!! (and can be totally addictive!)

Hey Doug,
Welcome to TT. It's great that you want to be here for your fiance! Hopefully she will also feel like joining as well. Loved ones go through a whole host of changes as well, and it's good to know some of the emotional pitfalls that many go through.

I think it's great you want to support her and are being proactive about it! There is alot of information here and she would benefit from getting online too.

Welcome to TT. Ask away!

Hi Doug, welcome to T.T. and as you probably know now there is a spot where you can get loads of ideas for friends and family and you'll learn a lot from all the areas and threads. As suggested, see if your fiance will sign on as well. Its a great spot for support and advice from people who have "been there". Suggest to her that we want to meet her too. Good for you supporting your sweetie in this way.
