Default how do

I get approved. I am seeing my family doctor tues then the Dr Wharton in Burlington, he is a weight lost specialist. He then sends my information to OHIP and the surgents. I know my BMI is 40 is there anything that has to be wrong besides being fat. I truely need this as I know I can not do it on my own. 20 + years of being fat and proven that. Pls let me know my Ontario NEW friends lol.

Cheers

Hey Greeneyes. I just want to say welcome. Wish I could help you, but I know next to nothing about Canadian health plans.

All this depends on your insurance requirements. Sometimes just being a BMI 40 is enough, but many require additional comorbidities. You can find this out from your insurance company ahead of time.

Let us know when the approval is in... AND if not, there are ways to fight the decision and you can get that help here under the insurance thread.

Good luck,

Starting BMI: 60.4 / Current BMI: 33.6

Nearly 16 TEN pound bowling balls down... OMG, let me pinch myself!

I don't want to know how much I have left to lose -- I find it encouraging to see how far I've come!
