Hello,

I live in a village on the outskirts of Portsouth on the south coast of England. I am booked in to have a gastric bypass on 12th November and am very excited, but a little scared. I am a qualified Staff Nurse working on a surgical ward and can't wait for my poor feet to feel a little better at the end of a shift!

I'd love to compare my journey with other bypassers and offer support as we go through this life-change together.

Hi, Im also from the Uk originally

I had my surgery 5 and a half months ago and have lost over 5 stone, I can now actually wear high heels to go dancing in and I dont have to kick them off after 5 mins! So I think you will find your job a lot easier on your feet after!

Good luck with your surgery! Where are you having it done?

Hi Gillabean welcome from a damp and cold shropshire. You will find alot of good and useful help and info on here, they have helped me get through the 10 months since my OP mostly by reading up on old posts with the occasional question, good luck for the 12th and keep us informed.

Nearly 16 TEN pound bowling balls down... OMG, let me pinch myself!

I don't want to know how much I have left to lose -- I find it encouraging to see how far I've come!
