Smile New from Florida

Hello everyone......I am so excited to be part of TT. I am from the Jacksonville, Florida area and will be having GBP this month. I have a cardiology appointment tomorrow then I have to call the surgery scheduler and she said I will be going in sometime the last week of Oct. I am so excited and at the same time I am very nervous and scared! I would really enjoy hearing from you.

That is so exciting. Being scared and nervous is completely normal. I am new to this site but can see just from the multiple threads that there is so much support on here. I wish you well on your JOURNEY.

Hi there... I am in the nervous wagon too!!! My surgery is Nov 11th....
I do think it is normal to be nervous... It is a BIG decision....
Then again nervous means you care..... which is fantastic!!!
I am sure you will do amazing!
I do not know about you but the entire thing has been emotional! Meeting with the surgeon I was shaking like a leaf.... then when I finally got approval... I did not know how to feel...
Friday I got the call with my surgery date and was thrilled, shocked and just a ball of nerves....
Today another set of nerves when I found out I do have to drink the barium for the GI test.... I doubt I can swallow it... BUT.... a good friend keeps telling me...
Keep your eye on the prize....

So I will tell you ... keep your eye on the prize!
Cannot wait to continue to hear about your journey!
