Hi all, my name is Jessica. I have been tossing around the idea of doing the gastric bypass for about 7 years. I have gone through the process of getting the insurance authorization twice before and have chicken out each time right before getting the authorization and a surgery date. But, for the last 6 months I have been getting all my stuff together again to put together what the insurance requires. Well I guess the 3rd time is the charm as they say....I got comfirmation from my insurance company and my surgeon that I have been approved and my surgery is on Oct 15.....woooohoooooo only 6 more days. I am so excited, scared and nervous all at the same time. Hope everyone here is doing good, I just wanted to introduce myself I'm sure I will be on here alot in the months to come for support and advice from all you pros...

Realize that nerves, being anxious and your fears are all quite normal and I'm sure that all here have had ever single apprehension you can think of pre-op. I'd do it all over again in a nano-second.
