Hi my name is Mike I had the lap band surgery on 9-15-09 and have lost 15pounds, I feel lucky to have been fortunate enough to have Dr Callery and his staff perform the procedure, the staff at Pomerado Hospital are also the best I have seen and I have been to a lot of hospitals as part of my work.It took me from October 2008 till now to get the needed authorizations, everything went pretty smooth until I need the Psychological exam, there was a lot of confusion with Blue Shield as to who would approve the appointment, Lisa at Dr Callerys office was a big help and got the authorization for me. I realized this adventure was a team effort and I see why it is so important to have the right Dr and staff to provide the needed guidance, I look forward to more advice and guidance from people on this site and thank you to everyone who provides post, they were very helpful when I had questions,

It took me the same amount of time to get all my approvals in line too!
Are you still eating mostly soft/blended foods, and how are you feeling?

I just had the procedure done on Tuesday, and my nurse in the recovery room, was all about getting up and around, I feel really good.

I have been going on a few walks a day to keep moving

15 lbs is awesome I look forward to hearing your success
