I'm still pre-op, but have learned so much from those who moved over to the loser's bench. I'm sure you will, too.
Welcome aboard!

Welcome to TT, Angzilla. Congratulations on the re-start!!!
If I may ask, though you don't have to tell, why the re-start? I'm assuming that either insurance or nerves got in the way.
Me personally, I'd like to hold the hand of everyone feeling like I felt pre-op and guide them through toward the lighter side of life. I see them now, where I was, barely walking, riding in motorized carts, looking sad and often miserable. I wish I knew the right words to say to encourage them, but like me, I would have felt insulted if someone had suggested WLS to me.
Hey, someone actually did. I met a woman who was 7 months post-op and lost 80 pounds. She came right out and started talking about it. I guess she noticed how miserable I was (at a Boy Scout registration function) and before it began, she talked and talked and talked. I credit her as being the first actual post-op patient I met, and her happiness was honestly contagious.
I have that happiness, too, and I wish I knew how to share it with anyone who has ever thought of WLS. Just the mere thinking about it places a re-focus on the mind and, I hope, an optimistic spirit into the future. Here's to optimism -- I wish it for you and lot's of success, too.

Day 396: One-derland - 153 lbs gone forever! (my pic progression)
Starting BMI: 60.4 / Current BMI: 33.6
Nearly 16 TEN pound bowling balls down... OMG, let me pinch myself!
I don't want to know how much I have left to lose -- I find it encouraging to see how far I've come!
