Default Saying Hi! I'm ohsoprissy.

I am so glad I found this board. I am having my VSG in exactly 2 weeks and am freaked out, scared and happy.

I have only told my husband and parents that I am having the WLS. NO friends, so it will be nice to share experiences with all those on this site who have been there and are apprehensive like me!

It seems like a nice group of people and I am glad to join you.

Best of luck and welcome to the board. There are some very helpful people here to offer support and suggestions when you need it . Remember, if you have a question; only "not" asking it is stupid
Let us know how things go and prayers for your quick surgery and speedy recovery.

Good luck! There have been some very successful VSG people here and those of us that have had other surgeries, and we'll be here to help you however we can!

There's tons of good info here, some of it may be lap band focused some will be RNY focused but much of it is still good advice for VSG.. the surgery is newer so there is less info here for now. It appears that the VSG is the one that will end up more frequent surgeries based on what I'm reading. I wish I'd had that one as well- I can't take NSAID which can literally be a pain at times lol.

Glad you found us

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. I have struggled through some other health problems as well. I am hoping that this WSL will have an impact and turn some things around for me. The info I have read has been extremely helpful. The threads here are very informative. Dr.'s can only tell you so much. It is nice to hear from people who have been there. I see that Hyacinth is going in one day before me.

My mom and sister both had Mini Gastric Bypass and I was amazed at thier results. I used to be a model in NY and still don't recognize myself sometimes in the mirror. I dream I am still skinny and wake up and look in the mirror only to be reminded how overwieght I really am. I feel like I have lost a part of myself and that the only way to get that spunk back is to really loose part of myself!

Hope to get to know all of you better.
