There's a search bar up top, type in key words like, 3 week out diet or not hungry. There are plenty of people who went or are going through the same thing. look up september as well. Maybe you can find people who had the same surgery around the same time as you.

Good luck.

Hi Elizabeth.

We call that RNY here just to make it easier to type Welcome to TT!

It is perfectly normal to not feel full until you move up to more dense foods, so don't worry about that.. just do what you're told to do by your doctor and nut as far as foods and liquids are concerned. It'llbe fine.

You also may have what is called heasd hunger. We have been so used to eating one way for so long that our brains still feel the urge to eat.

It will come within time.

Default thanks:

I think I'm getting a little more use to this, ok it's just today is the first day that i've really felt like eating and it's like I want to keep pushing myself slowly but just to see how far I can push it does anyone know what I mean? Did anyone feel like there surgery just "didn't take?" I know that sounds crazy but with just pushing this a little today I don't know if I'm feeling full or not, considering my doctor told me that my stomach would be the same size as of a golf ball ya know? Did this happen to anyone else????

Don't screw around and push things too far. Too many problems can arise when you test the pouch.

It is all sooo normal, this feeling that the doctor didn't do it, or it didn't take etc etc. You're feeling head hunger, and you're missing your friend, food.. just keep eating the foods the doctor has you eating and go slow. Allow your pouch to fully heal.
