Default New from Tennessee!

Hello!

My name is Lisa. I've been lurking around here for the past year and I'm finally glad to say my surgery date is October 2,2009! ( having the laparoscopic bypass surgery) I am so excited and couldn't be happier to finally find the new me. I start the liver shrink diet the 17th of this month and am alittle nervous (afraid of starving..lol) but I know I will get through it. I'm looking forward to meeting new friends and learning from them on my journey to weightloss.

Hi Lisa... welcome to Thinner Times.

Your surgery day is less than a month away... CONGRATULATIONS!

The 1st 3 days of the liver shrinking diet was the hardest for me, but mine was only 5 days. Looks like your doc requires an earlier start. But believe me, it's well worth it, it's totally for the benefit of your health and not to be taken lightly.

I wish you a speedy September!

Day 366: 1 Year - 146 lbs down
Day 396: One-derland - 153 lbs gone forever! (my pic progression)

Starting BMI: 60.4 / Current BMI: 33.6

Nearly 16 TEN pound bowling balls down... OMG, let me pinch myself!

I don't want to know how much I have left to lose -- I find it encouraging to see how far I've come!

Hi, Lisa. I'm kinda weird I guess in that I didn't really find my pre-op diet to be that difficult. I only had to do it for five days, though. I think two weeks would have been more difficult, and that seems to be more common. But I think I was just so, so excited to be that close to surgery that I would have done absolutely anything at that point to get there. I kept busy and the days went fast. You'll make it.

Kelly

Thanks to everyone for the great encouragement! I hope one day to be an inspiration to those following in our footsteps. I know this is going to be a long journey but well worth it!

God bless you all and I wish you the best!

Default Right Behind You, Lisa

I'm a newbie also...Dr. Weaver is doing my surgery November 9. Would love to hear how you did on the Liver Shrink Diet.

After doing well the first 3 days, I am DYING for something right now.
