Welcome to TT everyone. I had my surgery last week by a civilian doctor. TriCare approved first time. Do you have any co-morbidities? That may be a reason they are not approving. May need Dr. to do some tests because the ONLY reason they approved me was the 100+ pounds, bmi over 30, and very mild and I mean MILD sleep apnea. They said if it was not for the Sleep Apnea they would not have approved me. So, that may be your first step, seeing if you have any co-morbidities like sleep apnea, diabetes, pre-diabetic, high blood pressure, heart problems, etc.....

This is where I am at now, I went back to my pcm my blood pressure was up a little so she told me I was Pre Hypertension.. So waited a couple of weeks of doing my BP at home and when I went back to the doctor it was still up so she put me on a low dose of meds for my blood pressure so now I have my co-morbity!

So All I did and hope it doesnt hurt me but I sent in all the paperwork that they (tricare) faxed me for my appeal and sent in the paperwork showing I had high blood pressure.

So now I have what they require and they better approve me!

I put on the paperwork that I had new documentation was really hoping that helped speed it up but I just got off the phone with them and it's still processing! Meaning its still laying in a pile and hasnt been looked at! I have no dought it doesnt take them long to look it over and deny or approve.
