Congrats on getting your date!

My post-op pain seems to have been about average, from reading the other prior posts. The first day I scarcely remember from all the morphine. The second day was the worst in terms of discomfort because I don't react well to opiates, and all I did was sweat constantly and drift in & out of consciousness (even with the A/C on 55 degrees!); THEN late that afternoon, the physical therapist came in to try and get me to stand up! I made it to a seated position. The third day, I *did* stand, with considerable muscle pain and strain on my lap incisions, but I was soon puttering around. I was released late that day. Slept in a recliner for about 5 days.

Then, I made a horrible decision...one which I hope you are able to avoid!

I felt *great.* So great, that we took a 3-day mini-trip. Drive was great, walking around was great ... Relaxing in the jacuzzi tub felt wonderful -- UNTIL I had to get out of it!! That muscle they'd pierced for the camera? Tore. And that was it for me; I could barely move for two weeks. (And I still have problems with it, 4 years later.)

PLEASE be careful with your muscles post-op! Nobody had told me that they would be involved -- I stupidly thought I just had to worry about my tummy.

Best of luck -- you'll do great!

Trying so hard to get back on track, face that I can't do it alone, stop beating myself up for my failings... UPDATE: Well, after the 7 lb. drop last week, this week I didn't lose *anything*. Didn't gain, but it's discouraging.
