Hi all

My name is Adam, im 26 and from the UK

I stumbled across this site as I am due to have a gastric bypass on the 28th of this month. In the last week I have achieved the following:-

Given up smoking
Cut my calorie intake from 3000 to around 600
Started walking more

I am very scared about having this operation, but I can see all the help you have given each other. I look forward to being one of the success stories of the site.

I have been messed about for 3 years by my GP - ive even had to have 2 psyce evals. Around a week ago I spoke to a surgeons PA and she got the op pushed to the 28th - I've just started my low energy diet.

thanks for the welcome, there are so many fantastic people here, ive been looking at posts while I was waiting for my acceptance.

I'm sur ethings will be fine. one thing ive found ts that im not a teary person; I went into my local supermarket and just couelnt cope.

It's okay to shed a tear here and there. This is an emotional time for anyone that experience this. I think what is so exciting for me is to think I can do things I have never done before. That right there is the MOST uplifting thing for me. See even though I have been obesed all my life, I am really perfectly healthy but it's not guarantee that it will remained that way. This is why thie surgery id going to give me the opportunity to "LIVE". I am glad that you finally is getting your opportunity and there's a JUNE Stapler thread that you can join and post your date. Ms. Lynda keeps up with all the dates each month.

first fill 24.11.08 =6.5cc

Second fill 29.01.09=1 ml

10ml band filled to 7.5 ml ....

I love my band ! 5 stone gone thats 70 pounds

Awaiting third much needed fill ......
