Default Took me 9 months to find a Gastric Bypass forum?!

Hey Everyone.

I'm Charlie, and I'm from East Stroudsburg, PA.

I'm 22 years old and had my surgery May 19th, 2008. I went into the hospital tipping the scales at 400lbs, as of this morning I weigh 260lbs, just 60 pounds away from my goal weight.

I've always been a big dude and it's always bothered me. My dad has Gastric 5 years ago, he was 475lbs, today he is about 180lbs. Seeing his success is what drove me to the surgery. Like most of us, I've tried and failed at regular dieting, it wasn't that I didn't try hard enough. It just wasn't working. We all know how it is

Either way, I was searching around for some new recipes and stuff, since I've been eating the exact same thing every day since I've been able to eat foods again, and I came across TT. Pretty sweet digs ya got here.

Look forward to meeting everyone,

Hi Charlie, and welcome to Thinner Times. It sounds like you're a success so far.

You said you were looking for recipes....we have a Recipe board here (a sub-board under the Nutrition board). There's lots of good things posted there.
