tomorrow is the eval
Well, tomorrow is the day for the psych eval and I did receive a letter in the mail that stated the eval would only be around 2 hours and not like they said on the phone. I am so nervous on how to answer the questions they will have. I also have my nutrition appointment tomorrow morning as well. ok, back to the eval,,are they going to ask me why I want to have the surgery? I mean like is it for health or desire to be thinner? I know I am probably making more of this than need be, I just don't want to screw up anything towards the final decision to have the surgery. I will let you all know how things went tomorrow night when I get back home. Thanks for listening.

I was worried too but it was not a big deal at all. I'm pretty sure we all had different questions on some level. Most of my questions were relating to my history, family, and stressors. All I have to say is be honest that is what is what matters. Good Luck tomorrow on both Psych and Nut!

Well, the test is over and it took a little over 2 hours, I have no idea what the outcome was but they said they would call me in about a week. It was pretty much what all of yousaid, questions about family and emotional eating issues on top of 380 questions on the computer along with 2 other booklets of questions ( most of which I thought were stupid ). Next month I have my PT eval and then they will present all my papers to the team board to discuss if I am a candidate or not. Crossing my fingers. thx for all the replies :-)

They do the psychiatric evaluation to make sure you are doing it for the right reasons (such as being healthier), and not the wrong reasons (to look good).
I must say, however, my psych eval took nowhere even CLOSE to 4 hours! Mine was more like 10-15 minutes, in and out. Although, I did have to fill out questionairres beforehand. So, maybe, there is some paperwork involved.

Mine was like yours, Bob.. a rather long questionnaire, but only about 15 minutes in & out with the doc.
