Hi all! I'm obviously new or I wouldn't be in the intro section I am from Dallas, TX and my surgeon is going to be Dr. Jay. He is an electrical engineer turned medical doctor via my alma mater Texas Tech, so I'm sure it was fate
I have my lap band scheduled for Tuesday, 12/23/08, and I just started this entire process, last Tuesday.

I have been contemplating this for a few years now, but finally decided that I was ready to do it. I am lucky enough to have the ability to do cash pay, because I, like millions of others in this country, do not have insurance.

I am excited and ready to go, and I look forward to learning from those who came before me, working with those who will be journeying with me, and hopefully inspiring those who may come after me.

So it is about 72 hrs until show time for me, and I am ready! Wish me luck!

Good luck for your surgery and wishing u a speedy recovery , I was banded 11 weeks ago in the uk .
Have not had 1 regret !!!!!!

first fill 24.11.08 =6.5cc

Second fill 29.01.09=1 ml

10ml band filled to 7.5 ml ....

I love my band ! 5 stone gone thats 70 pounds

Awaiting third much needed fill ......
