Smile Howdy from South Texas

Hi, found this website when I found out that I was approved by my insurance for gastric bypass. I have been overweight all my life. Even when I was a kid. The heaviest I got was up to 549 lbs. I lost 141 lbs on Jenny Craig and then gained most of it back after my wife left. So today I just found out that my surgery is set for 12/23. Bittersweet, I will be in hospital for 3 days so I will be there for Christmas eve and getting out on Christmas day. But I am a cup is half full kinda guy. So I look at it like I will have a great Christmas next year and a lot lighter. During my cardiac pre tests I found I had high blood pressure ,but I have been lucky that I don't have diabetes or high cholesterol. But I am so happy that now I will start the new year with a "bang" Hope I find some good support buddies here that will help me along my journey.
