Hi everybody! I'm Mel from Philadelphia. After weighing the decision heavily (no pun intended), I've decided to actively seek gastric bypass surgery. I'm optimistic that everything will turn out ok, provided my insurance covers the procedure. I'm hoping to meet people in all stages of the gastric bypass procedure because information is key and words of wisdom and encouragement are invaluable. I've tried diets since age 8 and, though I exercise and eat healthier than my friends and family, cannot lose the weight.
