Let Me Re-Introduce Myself!
I just got a date! June 25th. Boy, that was faster than I thought. United Healthcare, 9 days for approval. I'm stunned, scared, excited, nervous, hopeful, joyous......etc, etc.
I have a wonderful 7 day vacation starting tomorrow with my husband and then go into my docs office for all the details on the days after our return!
I've been here lueking for a couple of weeks, and now I'm in the game.....

Welcome Boomer!
No other place is like this one. So much information, and most of all EXPERIENCE!
I am still waiting for the dr.'s office to confirm my schedule date which was tentatively scheduled for 6/20 but don't think that will happen since I haven't heard anything yet!
Any way, good luck to you and make sure to keep us posted.

Oh thank you, thank you for your notes.
I just wrote an email to my docs office to see if they could go with the following week. My husband is out of town on the surgery date we just received. He seems to think they will be giving him a surgical gown and letting hime come in to hold me hand, but I will need him around to come home with at least. Surgery on Weds...come home on Friday? I didn't ask that detail, but does that sound right?

If you are having a LAP RNY you should be home in 3 days (2 nights) pending that you are cleared medically. Oh, and if hubby is out of town, I'd say wait till he comes back so he can help you...unless he's a "PITA", then have the surgery while he's gone.

Everyone is different.. you could go home in the 3 days which I guess is the 'normal' number of days, or you could be like me.. go in on Tuesday at 5 am , come home Saturday afternoon.
