Welcome to forums and especially welcome from San Antonio,Tx. I am native Texan, lived in PA 3 yrs in late 60's early 70's. Its a beautiful stat but I love Tx.
I have worn boots but not all time. Many vistors come to Tx and expect to see cowboys on horses etc. Which we do have but you have to know were to look. We are different I think we are more friendly. I know Texans are different from each area, and if you ever get to drive thru Tx just no it takes forever to drive across it. Once out of Tx its a breeze to travel state to state. My hubby is a long haul driver and its great to travel with him and see the different states. I love to meet people. I get online and try to meet folks, in fact I met my husband also online but he is from Fort Worth area and lived here in San Antonio.
Hope all goes well with your plans with Dr's. Follow the diets and rules and you will do great.

I scheduled all my psych and nut apts today. I can't get in until August, which pushes everything back a month. My last apt is Nov 10. It seems so long off.

On a bright note, I went to the zoo with my friend who had surgery at the end of April with Dr. Garth. She's lost 60 lbs and she is eating just about anything she wants within the guidelines. She is only having issues with dairy and sweet stuff so she doesn't eat them. She's doing so great!!
