Smile Newbie here....

Well, I have a surgery date of May 5th and Im really excited, nervous, anxious, and ready to start my new life. Ive been heavy since the birth of my 1st child and that has been nearly 20 years ago. Im on my 3rd day of liquids prior to surgery and man its tough but I know what I have to do. Hopefully it gets easier as the days go on, I have to be on this for 10 days prior to surgery. Anybody with advice I would greatly appreciate any input you might have. Im have the Lap-Band procedure performed.

Default Welcome

Congratulations on your decision to join the lossing team. I remember the whole liquid diet, and would have to say for me, it only got harder as time went on with the whole liquid thing. I would actually count down to the time when I could graduate to baby food, purree. I actually purreed everything. Salads, chicken, beans, I think I tried it all. The lapband is a great tool, and has the potential to help you lose the weight, it will just take really watching what you take into your body, and exercise when you are feeling better post surgery. Good Luck, and I wish you the best. Please contact me if you have personal questions I would be happen to share what I have experienced.
