Question Food probs

Hi everyone, just recently had my gastric bypass by the wonderful Dr. D, and still coming to terms with the food situation. Does everyone go through a period of pain every time they eat or drink anything or is it just me. As far as I know I am following all the rules, eating slowly, small amounts (still on baby food) drinking small sips etc but still get pains. Any more help out there?

Welcome to the TT site and family.
I did not have pain everytime, and if you are eating soft foods right now I am not sure why you would be having pain. How long has this been happening? I would certainly not hesitate picking up the phone and contacting your Dr./Surgeon. This sounds somewhat puzzling to me.
Good luck and stay connected here. It is a great tool on your path to a new and wonderful life.

Hi Elly

That doesn't sound right to me - you shouldn't be feeling any pain. I would give Dr D a call and see what he says or go and see your GP. I certainly didn't feel any 'internal' pain afterwards - just full within 5 seconds.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi Elly. I did have times that I had some discomfort and low grade pain later on when I started the more dense foods but not so much before. Early out most of the pain was from gas not really related to food. I would call your doctor and let him decide if he is concerned at all.
