Medyum, he had gastric bypass, and is doing great. He has a friend that had the lap band, and she is doing good also, but not losing as much as him.

voldoll, Are you back on line yet? Well, I had my sleep study last night and didn't fall asleep untill 2 in the morning. Hope I don't have to do that again. The rest of my appointments are all scheduled for the 8th. and 9th. of May. I have to get a hotel the night of the 8th. because it is 3 hours from home.
How's it going for you? Debby

Question

I was supposed to receive confirmation of my first meeting in either the mail or via email and havent as of yet, I guess I'll call Dr. Callery's office to find out about it. The meeting isn't until Monday the 5th of May. In the mean while, my motivation is in the toilet, other then working in the yard or house keeping my desire for activity high is challenging. Again, I'm getting little positive feedback from the family, they all think it's too " drastic" and won't last... Weighed myself this morning and knew that I had gone up a couple of pounds even before I got on, so decided it's time to get back on the wagon. It feels like the AA philosophy.. "1 Day at a Time"... Oh I was wondering, where in Cali are you?

medyum, I live in Northern CA, close to Red Bluff. I see you live in southern CA. I would call them to confirm the meeting. The only way you can make things happen is to be proactive, so let them know how badly you want this. I have a nurse who acts as the go between between patients and the surgeon, so I have been driving her crasy with questions. I found out if I failed the sleep study and have sleep apnea I will have to use a c-pap for a month before I can have the surgery. My daughter is expecting a baby the 15th. of July so I would love to have the surgery in May or June, but if not I won't have it until Sept. or Oct. So hopefully everything will work out for the earlier dates. Your family will soon understand how much this means to you and back you up on it. My kids are behing me on my decision about it. I weigh about 257. How about you. WE CAN DO THIS
