I had gastric Bypass surgery 5/2000...by Dr Callery, I have been putting on weight..slowly..I have gained about 30 pds...since having surgery I started drinking and tranfered by compulsion for eating to drinking..I am now recovering from alcahol abuse..45 days sobriety...I was going to a meeting in Poway of Overeaters anonymous at Pomerado Hospital for patients that had bariatric surgery..The leader (Phil) had to drop the meeting due to an illness in the family...Does anyone know of a OA meeting (Bariatrics) in the area? Thanks, I would appreciate all the help I can get.

Unfortunately, I can't offer any words as wisdom as far as the alcohol is concerned but I wanted to congratulate you on your 45 days sobriety - that is quite an achievement.
