Hello

My name is Rachel and I got the lap band (on the 18th). Still a little sore, but everyday I'm getting better.
I'm a single mom with one child and I have struggled with my weight for my whole life. I have worked hard at losing weight while seeing my Dr. (Dr. Callery) and getting the test and insurance approval. I lost 77 lbs. It was a hard struggle.

Ciao Rachel,
I did not have the lap banding proceedure, however have some friends who are with the lap band. You really worked hard to loose before your surgery. If I may be so bold what is the overall amount you are looking to loose?
You can find others here who have had your same surgery and can relate to the proceedure, however all are welcome and appreciated here.
Keep up the good work and welcome to the new path of life you have started.

WOW you have done great, I have a friend that has gained with his lap-band. if you scroll down you will find alot of information about lap-band folks. Welcome to forums!
