Question Hello everyone I am three weeks out

I had my gallbladder out while getting rny surgery. I however have a lot of muscle type pain near the lower left site. The rest of my site are fine. My pain meds do not seem to help. When i get up in the morning the pain seems to be very little. Did anyone have this type of pain, and for how long? The worst is a SNEEZE!

No problems with gal bladder, however I can relate to the sneezing bringing some of the most fearful and painful moments, when I was going to sneaze I braced myself thinking I would rip apart.
Glad you found the site and please stay in touch, I think you can find a great group of people here who are happy to answer, support and reply to concerns or questions you my have.
All the best to you.

I had the pain in left side for almost 5 weeks then it was gone. Dr. said was due to extra deep stitches. I was just so glad when I could stoop and bend again w/o the pain. ou will do great, just ask your Dr ?'s. Sip walk rest. Glad you did so well and welcome to forums.

Default About 6 weeks as I recall...

That was also one of my questions, how long before the pain stops? As I recall Dyann I believe told me it takes about 6 weeks. Please remember to take it easy as you start to feel better so you don't get a hernia and follow your Doctor's advice in regards to how much activity you can do and at what stages. Also with the foods they recommend at the different stages. It can be tough at first, but you'll get throught it. Sounds like you're doing great so far! Congratulations on your surgery.

I can't help with your question because my left side didn't really bother me. But, I do want to ask when you had your surgery. We had our surgeries very close to the same time!
