Default New today in this forum

Hello to everyone here

I´m a Danish lady, who had undergone WLS twice.

First, I had the lap band in May 2006, but i had complications (gastric fistula and slipping of band).

So I had a revision to BPD (without DS) in Sepember 2007. I had my surgery in Belgium, because they don´t do the procedure in Denmark.

Now, I´m 5´51 tall, and I have gone from 267 to 198 pounds. In just 6 months.

I begin to feel normal, and I´m very happy with my surgery.

Is there anyone else here in this forum, who has the same WLS as me?
Or, do You know, where I can meet others with same operation?

Lots of love
Susanne from Denmark.

And thank You for this lovely forum. Reading a LOT!

Exclamation Welcome Susanne!!!

Welcome to the friendliest WLS Forum in the World!

I am not familiar with your specific version of the surgery but it sounds very similar to the VBG (or McLean) that our Eric (OsoDelDesierto) had done?

We are mostly RNY and a couple of LapBandsters on here but very friendly all the same.

Please make yourself at home and enjoy the company!

Hej Hej

Hello Gwen

Thank you very much for your welcome

Yes, you seem VERY friendly here, so nice to see.

I can tell you, that my operation is not at all similar to VBG.

My operation is called Bilio-Pancreatic-Diversion, and it is in family with the Duodenal-Switch.

But I understand, that I´m welcome here anyway....

((Hugs))
Susanne, Dk.

Hello Susanne, welcome to the forum. I can't think of anyone else here who has had the Bilio-Pancreatic Diversion but we would love to have you stick around. Many of us really appreciate learning about other kinds of wls. So feel free to stick around and educate us!~

Totally agree Beth.

We're all on the same journey but it's interesting to hear about the different roads we take.

Welcome Susanne.

Default Welcome Here

Welcome and Tanti Auguri,
I also am not aware of your proceedure, but it sounds like it is intended to provide you with similar results as the laproscopic gastric bypass I had here in Pisa, Italy. Is your stomach smaller now, do you go through a particular eating program, can you drink liquids while you eat, would like to learn more about you proceedure as it sounds interesting.
Like the other people have said we are here to be supportive regardless of the proceedure you had completed. I think if you will go onto some of the other sections here you may find another similar to yourself. As I know sometimes finding one person who knows what you have gone through specifically can offer an amount of comfort and relating.
All the best to you Susanne and hope to hear from you again and again.
