Hi Sidpits!
I'm 12 days out and black, blue, yellow and green tummy here! Esp. where they gave me the shot of heparin!!! I remember the disbelief and shakiness... even now, I feel so good, I wonder if they really did make me a pouch and re-route my intestines!!!
Sleep is good for you now - so get all you can!!!
And ... WELCOME TO TT!!!

Welcome to the forum!
I am 5 weeks out from surgery and boy do I remember the black/blue/green colors of my belly, arms (insulin injections), and hand (where the IV was)! But I also remember that I was soooo happy to be on the other-side of surgery!!!
Keep us posted on your weight loss journey...we're nosy about those things!
Take care

lol Katie..I've wondered a few times myself if maybe I wasn't part of a "placebo" group and nothing was done to me at all.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on being a loser. I hope that you heal quick and with little pain as possible. I was black and blue for a LOOOOOOONG time. When Dr C say my belly he said WOW! Well only the really nice people bruise that much. I guess!! lol

Welcome, I am 12 days post op too and sadly still black and blue and still have most of the markings on my belly. I have showered numerous times and that stuff just doesnt want to go away. I am feeling really good now the first two weeks are hard but its SO worth it. Take care, rest up.

I had my surgery the day before you on Valentine's Day. My tummy is healing nicely, very itchy today but still having seeping from the opening where the drain was. I realized last night that I just can't lay on my side as that is causing the extra seepage. I am having a hard time getting 60g of protein in me. Today I managed about 48g and I am so stuffed. I alternate between SF popsicles and decaf green tea for hydration; tried SF jello today but wasn't very refreshing. How are you doing? I'm anxious to hear if this is typical.
I weighed myself in the hospital and think I've lost about 9 lbs since my pre-op visit. When will I start seeing a change in my weight? The swelling in my abdomen has started to go down, particularly under my breasts.
I loved the earlier discussion about wanting a pizza three weeks out. My daughter has been popping in to check on me and eating nachos, panini's, chicken wings (cleaning out my freezer!). I have no interest in it; I am so stuffed!

Adrianad,
Are you talking about the bandage/tape marks? If so...try acetone (nail polish remover) that was the ONLY thing that would make it come off! Just dont' get it on the lap-holes (wounds).

Wish I had known about the acetone LOL. Welcome to the forums. I had ro fo a month b4 Dr would let me use lotion and I do the vitamin E. Which in past really helped surgical scars disappear.
