Really Bad Day
So,I went to my seminar last night and got lots of wonderful info and the Dr. was great also. The Doctors office called today and told me that they had called the insurance company and was told that they would cover 100% AFTER I pay my 1,000.00 deductible and my 2,000.00 co-insurance. Well I am a stay at home mom with out any of my husbands support to begin with. He told me that I could have it done only if we did not have to pay alot out of pocket costs. He was on the couch with me when the Doctors office called and he could tell that I was a little discouraged. After hanging up the phone with them, I TRIED to explain what they had told me and he instantly said NO, that we could not afford it. So today has not been a good day for me. I have cried all afternoon, I just knew that this was the beginning of a new life for me and my kids. It's just kinda heart breaking to know that I have always put myself last for the past 10 years and now that I am ready to take care of myself, I can't. I have not been a member on here long, but everyone on here has been so supportive, The people on here really are like family. So with that being said this will probably be my last post, it's will not make any sense to come to this blog and just dwell on this when I know it will not happen any time soon for me. So good luck to everyone and Thanks.

Jenn, I am sorry for the news you got and lack of hubby's support.
Please don't give up.There may be answers out there I hope one shows itself.
You can always come here for support. We are all at different stages of this journey. Some on here have been waiting for years and a few who were denied still come here for support.I hope you stay.
Hang in there

Thanks Vanessa, I just don't see how people can do this for years with all of the up and down emotions, This is only first problem that I have run into, which is a very big problem. And I am ready to call it quits. I just don't know what to do, I feel so let down and discouraged. I suppose I do need to continue to come on here and get support, it's not like anyone hear at home listens to me. Thanks

You did know that we are supposed to get tax rebates. Perhaps your hubby will let you take that to pay for the surgery. They should begin to be distributed in May. My understanding is that married couples get $1200 and an extra $300 per child. That would be a good portion of your $3000 cost.
What about IRS refund?

Janelle, I had thought about that and I hope that we can discuss it this weekend. He is just making this really hard cause he does not want me to do this to begin with. But thanks for the suggestion. I am going to keep praying about it.
Vanessa what part of NC are you from?

I'm from NC originally too...(Van...what a surprise...where are you from originally?)
So here's the solution:
Find anything of your husband's that has value and sell his shit on eBay. I hate when people treat other's the way he's treating you. You're going to save at least that much in food the year after surgery...this is just an initial investment...the return (health AND financial) will be huge! You can't afford NOT to! Tell him that.
I'm saying a little prayer for ya honey...keep your chin up...
-Mike
