Thumbs up Fresh Newbie

Hello everyone, I am a newbie. I found this site out of luck and quite honestly im glad. I've been looking for a site such as this for a long time now. I've been looking into this surgery for almost a year now. I've finnally got the guts to go to attend a seminar. I have the opportunity to work with someone that had the surgery and she has been doing great. I also had the opportunity to go to my 10 year high school reunion and I didn't feel left out. Mostly everyone who was small (like myself) in high school was on the heavy side and everyone who was heavy was smaller. That's was really funny to me. But one person stood out to me the most. She mentioned she had the surgery and she looked great. Besides her dancing in the mirror looking at herself all night her attitide never changed. We exchanged numbers and she has been encouraging me to look into the surgery if I was really interested in it. Since then I've done so and I've been communicating with the co-worker that had the surgery as well. Reading many stories on this site has made me feel as if I am doing the right thing and I look forward to meeting everyone and reading everyone's story as well with sharing my experience.

To happier days and a wonderful future

Let me be the first to welcome to this board!!! It is chock full of information from people who are long time post-ops(great advice, learn from their gained wisdom) and people like you who are in the beginning stages of the process(someone to commiserate with) This board is a great support group and good for some stress relieving laughs as well!
