Default Books that you might recommend??

Good morning!! I was hoping that some of you may be able to recommend a few books that helped you along your weight loss journey. I am reading one now called Gastric Bypass Surgery. Any other books out there? I don't want to spend a bunch of money on books that aren't going to help me! Thanks in advance!!

Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies is a good one. And if you need a laugh, anything by David Sedaris works wonders! You can buy both used from Amazon.com for pennies...in fact, you'll probably pay more for shipping than you will for the books!

"The Real Skinny on Weight Loss Surgery" is also another must.

Check with your local library - I was able to get a copy of that one and the "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies" that Mike suggested.

I though they were both great so bought copies of used ones from Amazon.com

Like Corrine, I would HIGHLY suggest that you buy "The Real Skinny on Weight Loss Surgery"! They now have a second edition out. It is a wonderful book filled with invaluable knowledge and humor. It was written by two of my surgeon's patients along with my surgeon and different members of his practice. The authors are very down to earth people who have a huge heart and drive for the bariatric population. They were the women who trained me to be a support group leader. Well worth the money.
