Smile The beginning of my journey

Hi All,

I am a 'newbie' to the site. I just had my consultation with Dr. Callery & Staff and cannot wait for my surgery. I have completed 2 of the 3 months program required by my insurance...so by the time I have all my pre-op requirements completed...the 3 months will be up! Just waiting for the authorization for the "psyc" eval and once that is completed...all tests will be done! I am SOOOOOOO excited that I cannot wait! I hope the insurance does not "hang things up"...but I am being realistic about that. (They really should just "save time, and see it my way!")

I divorced about a year ago, have a beautiful new granddaughter, and 2 beautiful daughters. My mom is going to be my "coach" along this journey, with both of my kids at my side. I have recently returned to school and am going to "Live my life" for me...and not for others. This is the beginning of my "life journey". At my current weight and with multiple co-morbidities, I really am looking forward to walking the path back to health.

"The choices we make, dictate the life we lead". I have finally chosen to take control of my life!!

Welcome DonnaRae! You've come to the right place (and the right surgeon IMHO). Best of luck to you on your path to wellness. It's a wide path...we all fit on it! You're not alone now that you've found this forum.
