Default New Here

Hello All,
I am so impressed with this forum, I live in Texas and the forum we have isn't as helpfull as this one. I had my RNY surgery 06/05 and have lost 113 lbs. It has been a blessing. Right now being out a little over 2yrs now I am worried about gaining weight. Does anyone have any suggestions to help fight the monster in your head that tells you to eat? I am not sure if anyone is dealing with this or dealt with it. Thanks all I am excited about learning new things and reading how everyone is doing so great.

Chris

Welcome Chris. You'll find others battling that monster we call head hunger here. People here are willing to share advice and give support when you ask. I'm 11 months out and I've been at a platue for 5 weeks now, and I too worry about adding back some of the weight.

Hi Chris,
Sorry to say, we're all fighting the same battle. Just be very very picky and fill up on the foods you know will nourish your body! (I'm channeling Rain...)

Red face Head Hunger

Oh my gosh ya'll. That is true that head hunger will KILL YA!!!! (haha) I do try to focus myself, but there are time's it is like it takes over and before you know you have ate the house and everything in it and wonder where did I put all that. Scared that I will stretch my pouch out. I am glad to know there are others facing the same problem. People don't tell you to watch out for the head hunger when you go to support group. I have seen many in my area gain 20-40 or more after their sugery. It was to hard to get where I am and don't want that to happen. SO thank you all for your help and support.

1st I agree with Lynda. You have to figure out what "fills" you up the longest. 2nd welcome you the forum. Someone will usually have an answer for you!
