Default Thank you

I just want to thank you for all the information you have posted for all the newbies--I have my consultation scheduled for June 25th and expect to have my surgery sometime late August. I have had so many questions and could not find the answers I needed but your input was invaluable!

Mackie, welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your decision!

None of us likes pain - the truth is I was in a wheelchair in horrible back pain pre-op. Now I'm the DANCIN' QUEEN!

A suggestion -- Get yourself the book, "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies" - the best investment I have ever made (a big $12 including shipping on Amazon.com).

Best of luck to you!

Default Another newbie

Hi everyone,
I've been thinking about surgery for about a year and finally took the first step. My consult is in about 10 days and I'm really excited about starting this journey. There is so much to consider (and learn!). Thanks to all who have posted so much valuable information here. I live in Canada, but I'm hoping to have my surgery done at Barix clinic in Michigan. I'd love to hear from anyone about their experience with Barix, and also if there is anyone from Ontario who went through the approval process with OHIP. Thanks to anyone who can provide info- hopefully I'll be able to "give back" in the not-too-distant future.

Hello everyone! I am new, but have been reading up for a couple of weeks. I have my consult with Dr. Jabro tomorrow and have found much good insight and advice here. So glad this board is here, it makes me feel more confident that I can get my ins. to cover the lapband procedure. I have Anthem Bluecross Power Select HMO and I am in CA. I will be back Wed to let you know what the doc said, but I do know from all of you not to take "no" for an answer. Crurrently 224lbs. Goal 135lbs.
