Kat, luck has nothing to do with it - the commitment to my journey is what made it happen - that, and time.

It seemed like forever when I was traveling through the losing-weight part of the journey. But now, as I look back on it, it seems like a minute in time, and every day of my "normal" life now is my miracle.

I remember so well responding to post-ops when I first came on this forum in February of '07. I was filled with the joy of hope. Now I am filled with the joy, period.

You can do this - you CAN!

[b]Hi all and thanks for all the info. Wow, it sure is nice to know I'm not alone in this. I've read some and will be reading all the other links asap.
I'm just starting, I've gone to the Dr. and now have to go for all the tests etc. I also (ins. insists) have to be on a diet for 6 months before they'll let me have the surgery. It's kinda a pain but I'll do it.....whatever it takes.
I've gone once and will go again Friday for my 2nd visit so only 4 more to go.
I've also started going to a support group locally. It's totally awesome too.
I'm learning so much from everyone and I'm so grateful to be able to share with everyone. I'm doing it b/c I want to be healthy again.
any comments/advice anything will be greatly appreciated. Thanks bunches.

Deba
