Hi Joanna!
Relax...

It is going to take a little time, but you will lose. I get frustrated when a week goes by and I do not lose weight, but eventually the scale always moves.
The way it was explained to me is that your body does not know the difference between having a doctor perform surgery and being attacked by a bear. All your body knows is that is sustained a pretty major trauma, so it goes into self-preservation mode. Slows the metabolism, retains fluids, etc.
I know that I do the same thing, but try not to focus on the scale too much. Your body is changing even if the scale does not show it. Follow the instructions from the doctor and you will lose.
Also, something I wish I had done earlier was to measure myself. There are times when we lose inches even when we're not losing weight.
So..... change those

s into

s!
