Default Hi. New here & very excited!

I don't have a date for surgery yet...heck I just got my insurance approved & made my 1st appt with the surgeon. But I'm so excited just to have made the decision to have the lap. Gastric Bypass. I cannot wait to start my journey. I have a co-worker who had the surgery not too long ago & she is doing awesome. I'm also very excited to have found this forum & wanted to say hi.

excited4uinMN!!!!!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! I know exactly how you feel! This really opens doors for you! All those things we don't or didn't do because of our weight become possibilities and that is very cool!

Best wishes!!!

Where in Texas are you? I'm in Washington County Texas (town closest: Brenham), halfway between Houston and Austin.

You all are wonderful. Thanks, Mike, for making me laugh so early in the morning. I really am so excited about this for exactly the reasons you said. I'm ready to do all the things I've missed and change my life.

I'm not ready to do a signature yet. Will do that once I have my surgery date. But I added my age to my profile. My name is Jeri.

I am sure I will have tons of questions and will not hesitate to ask them. As excited as I am I know there will be many challenges ahead and am so very glad I found you all to turn to for help.

All of your weight losses are amazing!! I cannot wait to join you.

Hi Claire! I was posting my reply as you posted. Actually I'm not too far from you. I live in Round Rock-a northeastern suburb of Austin.

Jeri, as you well know, Round Rock is considered very nearby when it comes to a Texas yardstick!!! Welcome to the Board!

Too true, Claire. I knew you'd know where it was. I have to tell people so often that I think I automatically do it now. LOL

Default Welcome, Jeri

Hey, girl,

Welcome to Thinner Times, we're glad you're here... I just moved from Texas last year up to Illinois...missing my home state a lot. Ask any questions you need to, and let us know more about you when you feel like it...
